Editing Gideon


Gideon is one of the True Brujah, a Clan who's legend is barely understood, and powers sit only in Legend. Rumored to manipulate time, this Lineage has been secret players in Kindred politics for centuries. Gideon himself, now Prince of the Mega tri-Cities, has been a resident of this city for nearly a century, having had a quiet but important role in the several wars for the city. He is known to be a cold and distant man, shockingly tolerant of complications, but not tolerant of any lack of progress.

== Appearance ==
Gideon is a tall, broad man, with dark features, dark hair, and bright eyes. His calm demeanour, stemming from the flaws of his Lineage, sets others ill at ease in some moments. He tends to wear simple business casual attire, to blend in with the mortal populace. He is always found, however, with the affectations of a pair of glasses and a timepiece, usually an antique pocketwatch.

Gideon has the body of a hard working man, both filled out with muscles, and lightly padded with fat, the only rmnants of his peasant heritage. It has been noted that when not in the company of mortals, Gideon stops blinking or breathing unless required to to speak, and until recently, had not been seen to affect the Blush of Life.

== Personality ==
Gideon, it could be said, barely has any personality. He is a cold, quiet, and forceful man. He doesn't engage in small talk, and expects communication to be to the point. Though he has an air of infinite patience, he acts as though his own time is a precious resource, and has been rumored to request an abandnment of formality in private conversation, to increase efficiency. 

Gideon's mastery of his Lineage's discipline has made him somewhat arrogant, a fact only expressed through his utter lack of concern when discussing combat with any foe. Whether this self-confidence is so great as to be a flaw, or something actually with basis in fact, has yet to be definitively tested. 

His focus on academic pursuit is apparent in most conversations not discussing business. Known by many t be a Biologist, Chemist, and have some small skill with medicine, Gideon is a learned individual, though he seems to somewhat ignore historical context, as well as have little interest in the mythology and history of the Kindred.

Gideon's powerset is a large unknown to most who face him. He relies on this fact to keep his opponents on the back foot. He tends to fight in a way that preserves the secrecy of his own power, only using what is abslutely necessary to kep himself alive. He tends to favor direct interaction, and his stable of abilities reflects that, having made it known he studies his Clan's Disciplines to a great degree.

=== Physical Prowess ===
Gideon is a master of Potence, and has little fear of physically entering a fight. He has shown remarkable resilience to violence as devestating as standing in the epicenter of an explosion that destroyed a Cathedral, coming through so unscathed as to have undamaged clothes. He has expressed no trepidation about physically facing down a Werewolf, a Sabbat Paladin, nor even a War Ghoul sent to attack a gathering. 

That being said, there has been little evidence of what he can do in a fight. None of his major conflicts have been in the public eye, and so litte is know about him. The Brujah Clan as a whole, however, is well known for their aptitude with combat.

If asked, Gideon might say his Intellect is his greatest weapon. A scientist, philosopher, and scholar, he focuses on intellectual pursuits whenever he is able. His political machinations are either so complex as to be opaque, or so simple as to create confusion. He alternates these tactics to keep his goals largely unknown. When talking with others, he favors turning subjects to scientific methods for investigating problems, or shooing away the other conversationalists to be left alone with his thoughts.

Gideon has stated he is a Master of Temporis, as well as having significant knowledge in both Potence and Fortitude.

* Gideon's glasses are an affectation because he was so enamoured with the concept of the refraction lens that he wanted to keep it with him at all time. 
* His pocketwatch is a focus that allows him to manipulate time. 
* Gideon hates dogs, but likes cats. 
* Secretly, Gidoen loves his racoon Danish. 
* Gideon isn't a True Brujah at all, just a Celerity Master using the mystique of the True Brujah for political gain.
* Gideon was part of a secret society of Vampires. 
* Gideon is a diablerist. 
* His travels all over the world are part of his plan to shepherd his mortal descendants.
