Early History [1805 - 1910]
1805
- Lewis and Clark camp in the Pasco area, near what would eventually become Sacajawea State Park.
1855
- The Umatilla and Yakama tribes cede the land that would later become Kennewick.
1880s
- Construction of the Northern Pacific Railway brings settlers to the Columbia Basin.
1891
- Pasco is officially incorporated.
1900
- The Columbia Courier newspaper is established.
1904
- Kennewick becomes incorporated.
- W.R. Amon and his son Howard purchase 2,300 acres and propose a new town on the north bank of the Yakima River.
1907
- Seattle opens Pike Place Market.
1910
- Richland is incorporated.
The Sabbat Years [1909 - 1933]
1909
- The Sabbat claim the Tri-Cities as their domain.
1914
- World War I begins.
1915
- The Celilo Canal connects Kennewick to the Pacific Ocean through the Columbia River.
1918
- The Pasco Herald is founded.
- World War I comes to an end.

- Charles Fort publishes The Book of the Damned, collecting reports of unexplained phenomena.

- The Green Bridge opens, linking Pasco and Kennewick and creating the "Twin Cities."
